Our story

From Philadelphia to five Florida yards

John G. Kastner moved to Florida from Philadelphia and started John's Famous Auto Parts in 1974, building it up from a single piece of land.

As the business grew, so did the family. Today five of his seven children work in the company, along with his grandchildren — running scrap metal recycling, junk car buying, U-Pull-It used auto parts and used car sales.

In 2024 the family celebrated 50 years of recycling in Northeast Florida.

We're still the same local yard: honest scales, plain answers and people who know their metals.
