FAQ

Junk car & appliance FAQ

How much will I get for my junk car?

Junk car prices depend on the vehicle's weight, condition and current scrap metal prices. Call the yard with the year, make and model for a quote.

What do I need to bring to sell my car?

Bring the vehicle title and a valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires scrap yards to record seller identification for each sale.

Can I sell a car without keys?

Usually, yes. Missing keys don't stop a vehicle from being scrapped as long as you can prove ownership.

Is junk car pickup available for homeowners?

Yes. Junk car buying and pickup are open to individual customers. Roll-off containers and scrap metal hauling are for commercial accounts only.

Should I remove anything from my car first?

Take out personal belongings, papers and your license plate. Florida plates should be returned or transferred, not left on the car.

Do I need to prepare appliances before bringing them?

Empty appliances of food, trash and water. Leave them whole unless the yard tells you otherwise.
